How close are we to Spring here in the Smokies? We’re only 4 days away from “Spring Forward” Daylight Savings Time. Can you believe that? Although that’s the same for most the rest of the country, it still aligns nicely with the blooming flowers, blooming trees, warming weather and upcoming events like Spring Break and Dollywood’s Festival of the Nations as their grand reopening for 2017 and every other sign we have that Spring is indeed quite earlier than it usually is.
We’d also like to encourage, as part of a county-wide initiative to bring interested folks back to the mountains, for anyone who might be wanting to come here for the month of March to absolutely do so! If you’re wondering what we’re referring to here, we are indeed talking about the wildfires of 2016. Back when that event happened, there was a long period of time where there was a lot of talk and rumors and no answers. Some were saying the entire town had burned down. We are happy to report that is extremely far from the case. Right now everything in town is gearing up for an awesome Springfest the same as we did in 2016, 2015 and every year before it.
With this initiative, we’re expecting a little bit of a busier start to the tourism season than usual and we’d like to further encourage you to take up one of our jeeps, reserve it NOW rather than later, and add some much needed Smoky Mountain adventure to your vacation – whether you come for March Spring Break, Dollywood’s Festival of the Nations, April Spring Break, the Wildflower Pilgrimage or any other reason, you’ll be amazed at what our jeeps can do for your vacation. You’ll want to reserve it now because they WILL get rented up pretty quickly otherwise!
